Parastoo Mahmoudi

Parastoo Mahmoudi is a Canadian-Iranian multidisciplinary artist based in Toronto. Her practice began in 1996 with a strong foundation in drawing, and has since evolved through deep explorations of anatomy, life studies, and experimentation with diverse media and techniques.
Parastoo’s work engages themes of memory, identity, and the body, and is held in private collections internationally, including in Tehran, Dubai, and Toronto. She has taught adult art classes from 2016 to 2019 and worked as a teaching assistant at OCAD University in 2024.
She holds a BFA in Life Studies with a minor in Drawing & Painting, and recently completed her MFA in Interdisciplinary Art, Media, and Design, both from OCAD University.
